The USDA Forest Service, Bessey Ranger District (Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands), is seeking to rent two high-performance tracked diesel skid steers for a 12-month period to support fuels reduction projects in the Nebraska Sandhills. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Bessey Ranger District, Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are mandated, but equipment must meet or exceed specifications of the Kubota SVL95 model - Compatibility required with Virnig 85" large capacity skeleton grapple - Products/Services Requested: - Rental of two (2) rubber tracked diesel skid steers - Minimum 95 horsepower engine - Lift capacity greater than 3,000 lbs - Joystick controls - Impact-resistant windows - Heating and air conditioning - High and low flow hydraulics with fittings - 8-pin electric auxiliary hydraulics connectors - Fall over protection - Manufacturing date 2022 or newer - Must be compatible with 85" Virnig large capacity skeleton grapple - Usage expected: 300-600 hours annually - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Equipment must be new or recent (2022 or newer) - Must meet or exceed Kubota SVL95 specifications - Compatibility with specific grapple attachment (Virnig 85") - Intended for heavy-duty use in tree piling and fuels reduction - Small business set-aside under NAICS 532412 - Delivery required to Halsey, NE by start of period

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.  Quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1240LP26Q0140 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for 2 EACH Skidsteer Rentals for a 12-Month Period of Performance

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 532412  The small business size standard is $40M  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. 

If submitting a quote, complete blocks 17a, 30a-30c on page 1 and all highlighted fields in the entire solicitation.   Return the entire completed solicitation document, with a Detailed Company Quote that addresses that the product your company provides can meet the minimum specifications listed in Schedule of Items of this solicitation.  Include a specification sheet/brochure of the product used in the quote.
