Lake Darling State Park Stone Entry Portal Replacement

The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking contractors to replace the existing entrance sign at Lake Darling State Park with a new stone entry portal, following the Iowa DNR Design Guide. - Government Buyer: - Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) - Contact: Darin Galbraith - Project Scope: - Demolition and removal of the current entrance portal - Construction of a new stone entry portal using Eden Stone Valders River Bluff Dimensional Sawed Veneer and other specified materials - Installation of a timber sign support with steel brackets, limestone caps, laminated wood beam, and steel strapping - Electrical and lighting work, including installation of a Stonco floodlight (model FL80-NW-G1-PCB-T-FL-8-BZ) or approved equal - Site restoration, grading, and erosion control after construction - Notable Requirements: - Use of specific materials: Eden Stone Valders River Bluff Dimensional Sawed Veneer, stainless steel fasteners, 16oz copper flashing, TWP 116 Rustic Stain for wood - All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician and comply with NEC code - Shop drawings required for stone layout, rebar, limestone caps, laminated wood beam, steel strapping, and accessories - Compliance with all applicable codes and Iowa DNR specifications - One-year warranty period from final acceptance - OEMs: - Stonco (for floodlight fixture; or approved equal allowed) - No other specific OEMs are mandated for stone or timber materials - Completion deadline is specified, with a one-year warranty after acceptance
