NOAA NWSTC Lodging and Transportation Services Requirements Contract

NOAA's National Weather Service Training Center (NWSTC) in Kansas City, MO is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive lodging and transportation services for students and guest instructors attending training classes. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service Training Center (NWSTC) - Products/Services Requested: - Lodging suites for 85 to 130 occupants, each suite featuring a bedroom, sitting area, kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, sink, stovetop, table), private bath, and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, business center, and recreational facilities - Daily round-trip transportation between lodging and NWSTC, including: - Handicapped-accessible vehicles - Shuttle service to shopping areas (minimum 2 round trips on weekdays, 4 on weekends) - Airport transfers to/from Kansas City International Airport - Lodging must be within 15 minutes or 5 miles of NWSTC - Security, housekeeping, laundry, and meeting room facilities required - Quantities and Ordering: - Up to 7,000 single room nights per year, for five years (potentially 35,000 room nights total) - Firm-Fixed-Unit-Price (FFUP) task orders for each ordering period - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Suites must be single occupancy, minimum 180 sq ft (excluding bathroom), with fire-resistant furnishings and safety systems (smoke/heat detectors, sprinklers) - Lodging must offer upscale decor and amenities, and be able to accommodate the full group size - Transportation must be safe, timely, and compliant with all legal and insurance requirements - Option to extend services up to six months beyond the base period - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified hospitality and transportation providers.
