The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a qualified consultant to conduct a Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA) of legacy tailings at the former Western Nuclear Mine (Hanson Lake). The study will assess mineral concentrations within the tailings and evaluate the technical feasibility, economic viability, and environmental considerations associated with reprocessing the material for mineral recovery. This pilot initiative under the Non-Uranium Abandoned Mines (NUAM) Program aims to provide critical information to determine whether tailings reprocessing should advance to future phases.
