Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Detachment San Diego seeks to identify sources capable of providing a lease for Temporary Electrical Cables, specifically 9,000 feet of male-female cam-lock electrical power cable assemblies and associated whips (rated for 600V 400A nominal) for use at Naval Base Point Loma. Due by 10:00 AM EST on August 10, 2026.

*At a later date, an actual solicitation may be posted to the Government Point of Entry, GPE, at SAM.gov with an official Solicitation number, RFQ Form, and Performance Work Statement.

The market research information collected resulting from this Sources Sought Notice will be used to help the Government to identify qualified sources capable of accomplishing the required work outlined in the attached Statement of Work under NAICS Code 532490. All interested parties are encouraged to respond. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are NOT deemed offers, and CANNOT be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.

Only those Responders that are able to meet the following criteria should respond to this Sources Sought Notice:

Entity is capable of meeting ALL specifications outlined in the attached DRAFT document. Entity has an active CAGE Code, and current registration in the System for Award Management (www.SAM.gov). Entity does NOT appear on the Excluded Parties List

If your organization has the potential capacity to accomplish this requirement, responses should include the following information:

Company Name and CAGE Code as reflected in its current SAM Registration, and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Point of Contact (POC) (name, telephone number, email address, street address). Business Size & Business Type. Company’s Capabilities Statement, and related marketing materials.

Interested parties are requested to respond to this Sources Sought with a PDF Document Format. Responses shall be limited to ten (10) pages and submitted via email to the Contract Specialist, William LeDuc III at william.v.leduciii.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 10:00 AM EST on August 10, 2026. Proprietary information should be minimized and must be clearly marked.
