The U.S. Consulate General Chennai, under the Department of State, is seeking elevator modernization services for two passenger elevators at its facility in Chennai, India. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, Consulate General Chennai, Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs are named, but the "ELEMOTION" elevator control system is specified as the required upgrade or equivalent - Products/Services Requested: - Modernization of two passenger elevators, including: - Upgrade to ELEMOTION elevator control system (or equivalent) - Replacement of obsolete components: encoders, door motors, car station panels, car operating panels (upgrade from CBM-C110 to CBV1-C710), hall buttons and position indicators (models PIM-C120 and HLH-A10), arrival electronic chime (AECC), emergency bell, multi beam door sensors, handsfree intercom system, wire ropes and sheaves, electrical power feeder switches (MCBs/MCCBs), elevator pit LED lights, and machine room lights - Minor civil and metal repair works, painting, and installation of new lighting - Testing, commissioning, and handover with compliance to international safety standards - Minimum 12-month warranty post-commissioning - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All spares must be OEM or equivalent - Mandatory site inspection for vendors - Coordination with the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for notifications and approvals - Compliance with international elevator safety standards - Electronic submission of quotations - SAM registration required for orders over $40,000

Request for Quote – “Elevator modernization works at the U.S. Consulate General Chennai, India”

The U.S. Consulate General Chennai invites all responsible bidders to submit the best competitive quotes for the “Elevator modernization works at the U.S. Consulate General Chennai,” as described in the attached solicitation documents.   

The vendor shall furnish all the information required to complete the work as specified in the solicitation document.  Please refer to the attached Request for Quote (RFQ) letter for more details. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered.
