The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Pacific Southwest Region (Region 8), is seeking skilled contractors to provide Monarch Habitat and Pollinator Survey Services at three National Wildlife Refuges in California. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Pacific Southwest Region (Region 8), Inventory and Monitoring Program - Office: Inventory and Monitoring Program - Contact: Joni Dutcher - Services Requested: - Monarch Habitat and Pollinator Survey Services at San Joaquin, San Luis, and Merced National Wildlife Refuges - Field surveys of milkweed, blooming plants, adult monarchs, and other butterflies - Surveys must follow Integrated Monarch Monitoring Program protocols - Data management, survey design, habitat classification, and summary reporting required - Distribution of survey effort: 10% San Joaquin, 25% Merced, 65% San Luis NWR - Key personnel must have experience in the San Joaquin Valley - Period of Performance: - Two field seasons (2027 and 2028) - Four Milkweed and Blooming Plant Surveys per site (monthly) - Eight Adult Monarch Surveys per site (twice monthly) per season - Data entry and summary reports due within two months after each season - Estimated contract value not to exceed $500,000 - No specific OEMs or product purchases are involved; this is a service-based opportunity
