The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to provide recurring farrier (horseshoeing) services for saddle and draft horses at the Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site in Montana. - Government Buyer: - National Park Service (NPS), Northern Rockies MABO, Mammoth Supply Center - Grant-Kohrs Ranch National Historic Site - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; the opportunity is open to qualified farrier service providers - Products/Services Requested: - Farrier services for 10 horses/drafts per year - Minimum of 6 visits per horse/draft per year, not to exceed 13 visits - Shoeing performed standing using government-provided shoeing stocks - Contractor provides all labor, management, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, and transportation (except some materials supplied by NPS) - Services scheduled every 6-8 weeks, weekdays only, between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM Mountain Time - Work excludes weekends and government holidays - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Firm fixed price contract, 100% small business set-aside (NAICS 115210) - Contractor must be able to shoe both saddle and draft horses - Some materials may be provided by the government; all other resources are the contractor's responsibility - Work involves live animals and must be performed safely and humanely - Recurring service throughout the year, with a base period and two option years
