Alaska State Capitol Otis Elevator Modernization

The Legislative Affairs Agency of Alaska is seeking proposals for the comprehensive modernization of two existing six-stop Otis cable elevators at the Alaska State Capitol in Juneau. - Government Buyer: - Legislative Affairs Agency, Alaska State Capitol, Procurement and Supply Section - OEM Highlight: - Otis is the specified Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the existing elevators - Products/Services Requested: - Modernization of two Otis six-stop cable elevators - Includes operational safety upgrades - Installation of new machine room equipment and control systems - New door operating and safety equipment - New hoist way equipment - Retrofitting or custom fitting of in-car and hallway fixtures (lights, buttons, controls, position indicators, direction lanterns, emergency car lighting) - All work must comply with ASME/ANSI A17.1 Code and all applicable regulations - Notable Requirements: - At least one elevator must remain operational at all times during construction - All labor, supervision, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and disposal are included in the scope - Project completion deadline is set, with possible extensions for legislative sessions or material delays

The Legislative Affairs Agency is soliciting proposals to modernize two existing six-stop Otis brand cable elevators at the Alaska State Capitol in Juneau, Alaska. The project includes operational safety upgrades, new machine room equipment and control systems, new door operating and safety equipment, new hoist way equipment, and retrofitting or custom fitting fixtures in cars and hallways. The modernization must conform to the latest ASME/ANSI A17.1 Code and other regulatory requirements. All labor, supervision, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and disposal necessary to complete the work are included.
