The Indian Health Service (IHS) Navajo Area is seeking non-personal healthcare services for Respiratory Therapists at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico. - Government Buyer: - Agency: Indian Health Service (IHS), Navajo Area - Office: Gallup Indian Medical Center Acquisition Department - Scope of Services: - Provision of Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) to deliver respiratory care across multiple hospital departments (ICU, Pediatrics, Emergency, Women's Health, Medical/Surgical, and Trauma) - Services include ventilator management, oxygen administration, emergency response, arterial blood gas punctures, patient education, clinical documentation, and more - Estimated 3 therapists per period, each with 4,176 hours per 6-month period - Emphasis on continuous coverage, credential compliance, and quality control - Therapists must have current licensure, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, relevant clinical experience, and cultural awareness - Contractors must maintain a 95% shift fill rate and provide staffing plans, credential documentation, and monthly reports - Contract Structure: - Base period of 6 or 12 months (varies by attachment), with three 6-month option periods (total up to 2 years) - 100% set-aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) - No specific OEMs, products, or part numbers are requested; this is a service-based procurement - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict credentialing and quality control - Non-personal services (no employer-employee relationship) - Cultural awareness and experience working with Native American populations
