The Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) is seeking to contract one Marine Patrol Dispatch Worker for its Office of Marine Patrol. - Government Buyer: - Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) - Office of Marine Patrol - OEMs and Vendors: - No OEMs or product vendors are involved; this is a personnel services contract. - Services Requested: - One Marine Patrol Dispatch Contract Worker - Duties include: - Operating emergency telecommunications equipment (telephone, radio, etc.) - Dispatching officers and responding to emergency/distress calls - Maintaining dispatch records - Interacting with public safety agencies - Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; related experience/education considered - Certification: Must complete telecommunicator certification within 12 months of hire (as required by the Board of Emergency Telecommunications Standards and Training) - Compensation: $15.00–$18.00 per hour, up to 28 hours per week - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Position is part-time (up to 28 hours/week) - Certification requirement within 12 months of hire - No products or equipment are being procured; this is strictly for personnel services
