Description
The City is seeking a qualified consultant with expertise in the railway industry to undertake a comprehensive condition assessment of the Barrie-Collingwood Railway (BCRY). The assessment includes track infrastructure and associated structures along the BCRY main line, approximately 23.5 kilometres from the Utopia Yard to the end of the line. The scope covers inspection and evaluation of railway assets such as rail, ties, ballast, subgrade, bridges, culverts, crossings, and other associated structures. The RFP is structured into discrete phases, with Phase 1 required to be completed within the 2026 fiscal year, and subsequent phases being provisional based on the City's discretion and funding availability.
