Description

The City of Bellevue is seeking competitive proposals from qualified firms for solid waste collection services within the City Service Area. Services include residential and commercial garbage, recycling, and organics collection, delivery of garbage to a King County facility, and processing and marketing of recyclables and organics. The contract term is 10 years from July 1, 2028 to June 30, 2038, with an option to extend up to 2 years. The collection system serves approximately 158,000 people, including 30,800 single-family residential customers and 2,000 multi-family, commercial, and drop-box accounts. The City manages the contract, including education and promotion, with a funding model shifting to a single annual contract fee.
