The U.S. Marine Corps, through the Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE-MC) and Product Manager Ammunition office, is seeking industry input on commercially available 5.56mm kinetic ammunition for countering small unmanned aircraft systems (C-sUAS). - Government Buyer: - U.S. Marine Corps - Portfolio Acquisition Executive Marine Corps (PAE-MC), Product Manager Ammunition - Products/Services Requested: - 5.56mm Counter-small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) kinetic ammunition - Non-developmental, commercially available round - Must be in active production - Minimum annual production capacity: 20 million rounds - Compatible with M4, M4A1, and M27 weapons without modifications - Brass multi-projectile payload (up to five segments), no plastic/polymer parts, single-round configuration - Capable of kinetically disabling Group 1 and 2 UAS at 0-100m (threshold) and 0-200m (objective) - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; open to all qualified manufacturers - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Ammunition must be non-developmental and in current production - Strict compatibility and material requirements (no plastic/polymer, brass only) - High-volume production capability is essential - Market research only; no procurement commitment at this stage
