The U.S. Embassy Caracas, under the U.S. Department of State, is soliciting quotations for batteries to support the Chancery Main UPS system. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy Caracas - Products Requested: - 80 units of 12V 100AH gel type batteries - Reference model: CDP GLB12100 or equivalent - Specifications: 12V DC, 100AH capacity, dimensions 331mm x 173mm x 213mm - Batteries must be new (not refurbished or grey market) - Minimum one-year warranty required - Delivery Requirements: - Delivery within 30 days after contract award - Delivery location: U.S. Embassy Caracas or Miami (for local vendors) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only new, genuine batteries accepted - Minimum one-year warranty - Equivalent models to CDP GLB12100 are acceptable - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated; CDP is referenced as a model for equivalency.

Description

The U.S. Embassy Caracas has a requirement to purchase Batteries for Chancery Main UPS. Please note that this is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item, prepared in accordance with the format FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 

The solicitation number is 19VE3026Q0009 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 

The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2026-01 March 13, 2026. 

This Request for Quotation (RFQ) does not commit the U.S. Government to make any award, and the U.S. Government may cancel this RFQ or any part of it.

Award will be made to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offeror. The Government will evaluate complete bids first. If no complete, technically acceptable bids are received, the Government reserves the right to evaluate partial bids and make award on a lowest-priced, technically acceptable line-item basis.

System for Award Management (SAM) Registration: In accordance with FAR 52.204-7 and FAR 52.204-13, offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), https://www.sam.gov, at the time of offer submission and at the time of contract award. Offerors shall provide their Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and, if awarded a contract, maintain an active SAM registration with current and accurate information throughout contract performance and through final payment.
