1. Scope 1.1 The material in this contract/purchase order will be used in a crucial shipboard system. Incorrect or defective material could cause failure, personnel injury, loss of life, or loss of the ship. The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured), with control procedures to ensure receipt of correct material. 2. Applicable Documents 2.1 Order of Precedence: In case of conflict, the contract/purchase order text takes precedence over references/drawings, unless overridden by law or regulation. 2.2 Identification of Classified Documents: The contractor must have authorized access to classified documents per DD Form 254. The classified documents and security level are: 4456141 - CONFIDENTIAL. 2.3 Applicable Documents: The listed documents form part of this contract, including modifications. The specifications revisions listed are preferred but acceptable revisions are those listed within CSD155 in ECDS. Revisions reflecting editorial or re-approval are acceptable if listed within CSD155 or elsewhere in the contract. 2.4 List of drawings and publications: Retain until award. Examples include SK718, 4456141, 4456934, 5901732, 5901733, 5927957, 6640200, 6640201, and various document references with their respective codes and revision identifiers. 3. Requirements 3.1 The complete AN/BPS-15 radar Mast Assembly must conform to Naval Sea Systems Command Drawing 6640200, Item 1, including Item 30, with specified modifications. 3.1.1 Drill and tap 6 holes for item 23 on Drawing 6640200 zone D-19, with specified dimensions and procedure. 3.1.2 Correct the length of Guide Key, Item 26, from 17.084/18.000 to 17.984/18.000 inches. 3.1.3 Correct the radius in View D-18 of drawing 6640201 to match the bolt center diameter of 2.311 inches. 3.1.4 Use Nylock coating and socket head cap screw to secure the waveguide to the mast. 3.1.5 Hydrostatic testing can be conducted vertically or horizontally. 3.2 Manufacture 2 dowel pins per mast with interference fit, following drawing specifications and using the specified chamfer. 3.3 Material Certification: Chemical and mechanical analysis required for parts such as Mast (Item 3), Window Support Base, Window Ring, Window Hold Down Ring, and Window (Item 4), with specified materials and properties. 3.4 Testing Certification: Certifications required for hydrostatic tests, pressure window assembly tests, ultrasonic, dye penetrant, and liquid penetrant inspections, with specific items and standards. 3.5 Confidential Hydrostatic Test Pressures: When confidential, certification must reference Revision A and item number, not actual pressures. 3.6 Pressure and time tolerances: Defined for tests below 100 PSIG, between 100 and 2500 PSIG, and above 2500 PSIG, with specified tolerances.
