The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base is seeking conservation mannequins for the Travis AFB Aviation Museum. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, Travis AFB Aviation Museum (60 CONS LGC) - OEMs and Vendors: - Dorfman Museum Figures, Inc. (OEM for all specified mannequin products) - Products Requested: - 6 pairs of Conservation Articulated Hands (Dorfman #5155) - 8 Standing Conservation Form Male mannequins (Dorfman #4100) - 5 Seated Conservation Form Male mannequins (Dorfman #4160) - Product Details: - All mannequins must be constructed of Ethafoam with internal anodized aluminum pole structures and joints - Polyester stockinette white coverings required - Hands must have bendable aluminum wire in fingers and be compatible with Dorfman #4100 forms - Standing forms require posable waists, adjustable sizes, jointed arms, Conservation Head with facial features, and powder-coated steel square tube for footwear display - Seated forms require flexible cable in waist, elbows, wrists, and legs for posing, easy-snap shoulder fitting, and Conservation Head with facial features - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All mannequins must comply with Air Force Instruction 84-103 - Delivery required within 60 days of contract award - Focus on artifact conservation and museum display standards
Description
The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base intends to establish a Firm Fixed Price contract to provide Conservation Forms (Mannequins) for the Travis Air Force Base Aviation Museum. The purpose of this opportunity is to be a Sources Sought for the purpose of market research. The government intends to post a formal solicitation for this requirement in the coming weeks. See attachments for Statement of Work/Salient Characteristics/Specifications, and for exact type and quantities. This is intended to be solicited as a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside requirement.
