Description
The Nondestructive Evaluation Welding, Processing, & NDE Branch, Code 611 of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) performs research and development in nondestructive testing and nondestructive testing support for Navy Shipyards and Navy Maintenance Centers. Tasking aimed at improving the maritime industrial base, specifically aligned with, and in support of, DRPM MIB Advanced Manufacturing initiatives/efforts and functional areas. Code 611 owns a license to CIVA 2022 which is advanced physics software for simulating and evaluating nondestructive testing. The software is specialized, complex and required for future work supporting the submarine industrial base. The objective is to obtain the latest version of the software, CIVA 2025, convert the software license from node locked to an RDT&E networked license for multiple user access, and add additional seats to accommodate future workload. This award is to be made on a Sole Source Basis.
