The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9, is seeking information from vendors for a one-time purchase of micro surgical instrument trays and accessories for the Lexington VA Health Care System. - Government Buyer: - Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9), Lexington VA Health Care System - OEMs and Vendors: - Steris is referenced as the OEM in the opportunity title - Brand name or equal products are acceptable, but all must be manufactured in the USA - Products/Services Requested: - Two micro surgical instrument trays and a comprehensive set of supporting accessories - Specific items include: - Jeweler's forceps, micro tissue forceps, dilator forceps, clamps, needle holders, microsurgical scissors, artery clamps, and approximating clamps - Detailed part numbers and quantities are provided for each item (e.g., CH13094, CH13175, VM1097311, RH1590, etc.) - Quantities range from 2 to 8 units per item - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All products must be surgical grade stainless steel and manufactured in the USA - Compliance with CensiTrac UID marking and VHA Sterile Processing Services Directive 1116 (1) is mandatory - No items from Pakistan will be considered - All items must be packaged to prevent damage during shipment and include manufacturer's instructions for use - Brand name or equal is acceptable, but products must meet or exceed the listed specifications

This is a sources sought announcement only. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses in this sources sought notice must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the supplies described below. The Lexington VA Health Care System is looking to purchase two micro instrument trays and supporting accessories as listed below. This procurement shall be a brand name or equal that meet or exceed the physical, functional, and performance of listed statement of work outlined below. Contractors shall show clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that all equal to items meet all requirements as outlined in the included salient characteristics and warranty sections, including brand name and model numbers IAW FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal.

Technical Specifications:
The items ordered shall meet the following specifications: All sets are complete including the tray to hold the instruments. All instruments are surgical grade: All stainless-steel is surgical grade. No items from Pakistan. All instruments will be CensiTrac UID mark compliant. All items are included in the manufacturer s instructions for use and can be reprocessed in accordance with VHA Sterile Processing Services Directive 1116 (1). Items will be packaged to prevent damage during shipment. Items will be shipped to: Lexington VA Health Care System Troy Bowling Campus Attn: Rachel Kidder, 150BC 1101 Veterans Drive Lexington, KY 40502 Items shall be equivalent to the product description and model numbers listed below. Items must be verified with the CORs.

The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought announcement. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if there are insufficient Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business responses, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. No sub-contracting opportunity is anticipated. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339112 (1000 employees).
