Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service (USDA/FAS) is requesting the design and delivery of a two-year program to support the Fertilize Right Vietnam (FR Vietnam) initiative. The program aims to increase fertilizer-use efficiency, enhance fertilizer effectiveness, and develop alternatives to traditional chemical fertilizers to help farmers reduce input costs while maintaining or increasing yield. Specific objectives include conducting comparative analysis of nitrogen leaching reduction using U.S. biofertilizers, collaborating on national fertilizer management guidelines in Vietnam, organizing an informational outreach tour for U.S. organic rice farmers, and evaluating the increase in Vietnam imports of U.S. manufactured fertilizer enhancement products and biofertilizers. Eligible applicants are state cooperative institutions or other U.S. colleges and universities.
