Description

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (ODPHP) is offering a cooperative agreement to establish and implement a nationwide cooking and nutrition education initiative. The initiative will deliver recurring community cooking demonstrations and hands-on nutrition education to help individuals and families develop practical skills for selecting, preparing, and enjoying nutritious meals aligned with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans. Recipients will coordinate a network of regional and local partners to conduct a minimum of 600 cooking demonstrations during a 15-week national activation period across at least 40 geographic locations. The program aims to reduce risk factors associated with chronic diseases and support prevention, management, and reversal of diet-related chronic conditions.
