The 97th Air Mobility Wing, Civil Engineer Squadron at Altus Air Force Base is seeking to procure a heavy-duty, commercial-grade walk-behind concrete saw and compatible diamond blade for airfield pavement repairs. - Government Buyer: - Department of the Air Force, 97th Air Mobility Wing (AETC), Civil Engineer Squadron (97 CES/CEOI) - Products Requested: - Walk-behind concrete saw (self-propelled) - 60-inch maximum blade diameter - 25-inch maximum cutting depth - Diesel-powered, four-stroke Deutz engine - Electric start, wet and dry cutting capability - Max blade speed: 1,430 RPM - 74.3 horsepower - Quantity: 1 - Diamond blade - Compatible with 60-inch saw - Capable of cutting reinforced concrete - Quantity: 1 - OEMs: - No specific OEMs are named, but Deutz is specified as the engine manufacturer for the saw - Notable Requirements: - Equipment must be suitable for full-depth rigid pavement repairs on military airfields (runways, taxiways, aprons) - Offerors must be registered in SAM - Funding is not currently available; award is contingent on funding - Technical specifications are detailed in the 'Salient Characteristics' attachment

“Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available.  The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date.  In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs.”

The 97th Contracting Squadron, Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma, intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for acquisition of a heavy-duty walk-behind 60" concrete saw and diamond blade capable of a 25-inch cutting depth to conduct full-depth rigid pavement repairs on military airfields (runways, taxiways, and aprons). See attachment 4 - Salient Characteristics for specifics.

Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management Database (SAM) prior to submission of proposals.  Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the DoD SAM prior to submission of proposal will render your firm ineligible for award.  Registration requires applicants to have a Unique Entity ID Number.  Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. This solicitation will be available ONLY via the Internet at the following address: http://sam.gov. NO paper copies of the solicitation will be furnished.
