Description

This project will provide the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MN DNR) Parks & Trails (PAT) Division with a rare plant survey along a 6.2-mile corridor segment of a proposed re-route of the Arrowhead State Trail, managed by the Tower Area. The survey is required 50 feet from the trail centerline on both sides to determine the presence of any rare species prior to re-routing and upgrading the trail surface for all-season ATV use. The terrain includes constructed trail/road areas, clear cut forests, clear cut re-growth, and mixed deciduous/coniferous forest. Survey is only needed on State lands within or along the corridor.
