Pasadena Seeks Distributed Renewable Energy Facilities Over 200kW

The City of Pasadena Department of Water and Power (PWP) is seeking proposals for distributed renewable energy generation facilities: - Buyer: City of Pasadena Department of Water and Power (PWP) - Scope: - Development, construction, and operation of one or more distributed generation renewable energy facilities - Each facility must have a capacity greater than 200kW - Facilities must be located within PWP's service territory and directly interconnected to PWP's electric distribution grid - Products/Services Requested: - Design, build, and operate distributed renewable energy projects - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the RFP is open to all qualified proposers - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Projects must comply with California's Renewable Energy Resources Program and the Renewables Portfolio Standard Program - Facilities must support Pasadena's goal of 100% carbon-free electricity by 2030 - Commercial operation or delivery must begin on or before the end of 2028 - Minimum delivery term is 10 years, with alternative terms considered - Direct interconnection to the local grid is required

Description

The City of Pasadena, through its Department of Water and Power (PWP), is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for one or more distributed generation renewable energy facilities located within PWP service territory and interconnected to PWP's electric distribution grid. The projects sought are distributed resources larger than 200kW, with operational or delivery start dates on or before December 31, 2028, and a minimum delivery term of 10 years. The initiative supports Pasadena's goal to source 100% of its electricity from carbon-free resources by 2030 and complies with California's Renewable Portfolio Standard Program. Proposals with later start dates or alternative terms will also be considered.
