The City of Cumming Utilities Department in Georgia is seeking competitive sealed proposals for the Western Corridor Sanitary Sewer Improvements project. - Scope of Work: - Construction of approximately 4,360 linear feet of new sewer infrastructure: - 2,860 linear feet of 12-inch, 10-inch, and 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer (PVC) - 1,500 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer force main (PVC) - Installation of manholes, valves, trenchless crossings, and system connections - Grading, site work, access drives, and site utilities (public and private) - Installation of instrumentation and controls, electrical systems, fencing, and a JIB crane - Construction of a new electrical building - Installation of a diesel-fired emergency bypass pump - Erosion and sedimentation control measures, and final site restoration - OEMs and Vendors: - Xylem/Flygt specified for submersible pumps - Xylem MultiSmart powered by Nexicon specified for the control system - Notable Requirements: - Owner will pre-purchase the pumping package and assign the sales contract to the selected contractor - Compliance with Davis-Bacon Act wage rules, American Iron and Steel requirements, and Georgia Environmental Finance Authority's supplemental conditions - Mandatory pre-bid conference for all bidders - Bid security, performance, and payment bonds required

Description

This project involves the construction of gravity sanitary sewer and sanitary sewer force mains, manholes, valves, trenchless crossings, grading, site work, access drives, site utilities, instrumentation and controls, electrical systems, fencing, installation of a JIB crane, a new electrical building, a diesel-fired emergency bypass pump, erosion and sedimentation control measures, and final site restoration and grading. The total new sewer infrastructure is approximately 4,360 linear feet, including 2,860 linear feet of gravity sanitary sewer and 1,500 linear feet of sanitary sewer force main with associated manholes and fittings. Bids are to be submitted to the City of Cumming Utilities Department by September 17, 2026, at 10:00 am local time. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on August 20, 2026.
