The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library (IndyPL) is seeking proposals for Wide Area Network (WAN) data transmission services to connect 26 library locations across Indianapolis and Beech Grove. - Government Buyer: - Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library (IndyPL), Innovation & Technology Office - Products & Services Requested: - Layer 2 Ethernet WAN connections (fiber) for 26 library sites - Minimum 1Gbps at branch locations - Minimum 10Gbps at two hub locations (Central Library and Library Service Center) - Scalable up to 10Gbps (branches) and 40Gbps (hubs) - Standalone data transmission (WAN) services, including installation, cabling, permits, and ongoing 24/7/365 maintenance and support - All services must be delivered over fiber; wireless and satellite solutions are not permitted - OEMs and Compatibility: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named, but all network handoffs must be compatible with Cisco SFP-10G-SR= SFP+ Transceiver Modules - Equipment from companies deemed a national security risk by the FCC is prohibited - Notable Requirements: - Vendor must provide detailed pricing (recurring and non-recurring), service level agreements, and references - Compliance with FCC E-Rate rules and lowest corresponding price - Rapid response to outages and strict performance guarantees - Contract term is up to 36 months with two optional 12-month extensions, contingent on E-Rate funding approval

Description

The Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library (IndyPL) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to lease lit network capacity for an eligible Standalone Data Transmission (WAN) Service. The service will connect eligible sites to the network head-end located at 2450 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN. The project scope is detailed in the attached Statement of Work (SOW), Appendix A. Services are to commence on July 1, 2027, with an initial term of up to 36 months, including the possibility of two voluntary 12-month extensions. Proposals must adhere to FCC E-Rate rules and include detailed pricing, service descriptions, and references.
