The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) at the Southeastern Fruit and Tree Nut Research Laboratory is seeking to procure a front-mounted orchard trimmer system for use on a John Deere 5075E tractor. - Government Buyer: - USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Southeastern Fruit and Tree Nut Research Laboratory, ARS Acquisition and Property Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Supertrak (OEM of the Chopzilla orchard hedger/topper) - Comparable products from other manufacturers may be considered if they meet all technical specifications - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) Supertrak Chopzilla or comparable orchard hedger/topper - Front-mounted system for tractors, skid steers, or loaders - 7-foot continuous cutting path - Dual sharp rotating saw blades (2,400–2,700 RPM) - Hydraulic motor drive (minimum 9.4 GPM) - Maximum weight: 800 lbs - 108-inch boom, variable cutting angles (0–90 degrees), minimum 22-inch side extension - Base dimensions: 25.5" H x 57" W (extends to 79" W) - Includes delivery, installation on a John Deere 5075E tractor, validation, and training for up to 4 staff - Installation, validation, and training services - On-site installation and integration with government-furnished tractor - Functional checks (blade speed, hydraulic flow) - Correction of mechanical deviations - Operational and safety training for up to four staff, including maintenance procedures - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Equipment must be delivered, installed, validated, and training completed within 60 days of contract award - Must be compatible with a John Deere 5075E tractor - Set aside for small business concerns under NAICS 333111 - Firm-fixed-price contract

This acquisition  is set-aside for small business concerns.  The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 333111  The small business size standard is 1250 employees  This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
