The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), part of the Department of Health and Human Services, is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive linen and uniform rental services at its Research Triangle Park (RTP) campus. - Government Buyer: - National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) - Department of Health and Human Services - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or manufacturers are named; the requirement is open to qualified textile service providers. - Products/Services Requested: - Rental, laundering, repair, and replacement of laboratory coats, uniforms, linens, towels, mats, and related items - Approximately 800 rental laboratory coats (600 with elastic cuffs, 200 with open cuffs) - Uniform sets for 31 maintenance employees (12 sets each), 2 supervisors, and 4 electrical mechanics (Arc Rating Category 2, NFPA 70E compliant) - Industrial shirts (36 short sleeve, 12 long sleeve), cotton shirts (24), polo shirts (336), industrial pants/trousers (336), cotton pants (36), executive shirts (24), executive pants (24) - Quilted lined jackets (62), black leather belts (31) - Mats (3x5: 12, 4x6: 70, 3x10: 20) - Bath towels (60), hand towels (40), bar towels (200) - Exam gowns (20), facial cloths (50), blankets (12), hospital bed flat sheets (30), fitted sheets (20), pillowcases (40) - Services include: - Inventory management, pickup and delivery across six buildings (47 pickup/delivery points) - Garment marking, embroidered NIH patches/logos - Emergency replacement services - Quality assurance, safety compliance (HLAC or equivalent certification required) - Reporting and customer support - Unique/Notable Requirements: - HLAC or equivalent certification for laundering services - Uniforms for electrical mechanics must meet Arc Rating Category 2 and NFPA 70E standards - Embroidered NIH patches required on uniforms - Service provider must support emergency replacement and maintain high quality and safety standards - Detailed inventory and delivery logistics across multiple buildings

Description

Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and management necessary to furnish comprehensive textile management services, including rental, laundering, pressing, repair, replacement, inventory management, collection and delivery, garment marking, embroidered patches/logos, emergency replacement services, quality control, reporting, customer support, and related services for all items identified in the attachments.
