The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking to procure a bottom-mount digital camera system for use with its FEI Tecnai 12 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) at the Albany, California facility. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), ARS Acquisition and Property Division - OEMs and Vendors: - FEI (manufacturer of the Tecnai 12 TEM) - Gatan (referenced as the failed camera being replaced) - Products/Services Requested: - One (1) bottom-mount digital camera compatible with FEI Tecnai 12 TEM - Must support Digital Micrograph software - Must operate at or above 120 kV - Must use fiber optic coupling for efficiency - Must enable image montages - Must be tested for fit, vacuum tolerance, software compatibility, and image capture quality - Installation and training for the camera system - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Camera must be compatible with the FEI Tecnai 12 TEM and Digital Micrograph software - Replacement for a failed Gatan Orius SC200 camera - Delivery required within 90 days after receipt of order - Installation and training at the USDA ARS facility in Albany, CA - Firm fixed price contract with a small business set-aside

Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12.  This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. 

Solicitation number 1232SA26Q1184 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Digital Camera for a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) per Attachment 2 Specifications.

This acquisition  is not set-aside for small business concerns.  This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference.  The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.

The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 334516. This acquisition is an unrestricted requirement.  All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency.
