Santa Fe Regional Airport is seeking contractors for the Runway 33 Runway Safety Area (RSA) Improvement Project. - Government Buyer: - Santa Fe Regional Airport, managed by the City of Santa Fe - Project Scope: - Mobilization and project setup - Airport safety and security measures, including placement and maintenance of lighted "X"s and barricades - Clearing and grubbing of 8 acres, including tree removal - Removal and disposal of 142 linear feet of 24-inch and 23 linear feet of 12-inch culvert pipes - Unclassified excavation (19,100 cubic yards) and off-site borrow excavation/placement (34,600 cubic yards) - Subgrade preparation (3,000 cubic yards at 6-inch depth) - Placement of 310 cubic yards of uncrushed aggregate base course - Installation of 100 cubic yards of Riprap Type "L" - Temporary pollution and erosion control (21 lump sum) - Installation of 72 square feet of panel signs with retroflective sheeting and 40 linear feet of steel posts - Seeding with soil preparation, hydromulch, tackifier, and fertilizer (10 acres) - Construction staking and contractor quality control testing - Requirements: - All work must comply with FAA design and safety standards and New Mexico regulations - Adherence to Buy American requirements - Electronic bid submission via OpenGov - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Notable Details: - Project includes both earthwork and airfield safety improvements - Emphasis on compliance with federal and state standards - Contractors must provide all required documentation

Description

This solicitation is for the improvement of the Runway Safety Area (RSA) at Santa Fe Regional Airport's Runway 33. The project includes mobilization, airport safety and security measures, clearing and grubbing, removal and disposal of existing culvert pipes, excavation, subgrade preparation, aggregate base course placement, riprap installation, pollution and erosion control, signage installation, seeding, construction staking, and contractor quality control testing. All work must comply with FAA standards and New Mexico regulations. Bidders are required to submit electronic bids via OpenGov by August 14, 2026, at 8:00 PM.
