Description
In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh (UWO) proposes to transfer human remains and associated funerary objects listed in a notice of inventory completion published in the Federal Register on June 27, 2025. The human remains represent at least 18 individuals of Native American ancestry, along with three associated funerary objects. The transfer or reinterment may occur on or after September 2, 2026. The Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin has requested the transfer of these remains and objects.
