Description
The St. Joseph Museums, Inc. has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects and determined a cultural affiliation with Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The inventory includes human remains representing at least three individuals and 101 associated funerary objects such as wood, faunal remains, rocks, lithics, shells, pottery sherds, geodes, and a metal sword. These items were collected from Bruce Cave (23PU44) and donated in 1957. Repatriation may occur on or after September 2, 2026, to the Osage Nation or other culturally affiliated groups.
