Description

In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Denver Art Museum intends to repatriate a certain cultural item that meets the definition of a sacred object/object of cultural patrimony. The item has a cultural affiliation with the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe. The cultural item is a beaded umbilical cord amulet purchased in 1969. Repatriation may occur on or after September 2, 2026, and requests for repatriation must be sent to the Denver Art Museum's authorized representative.
