NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, part of the U.S. Navy, is seeking repair services for a critical shipboard component: - Government Buyer: - U.S. Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Mechanicsburg office - OEMs and Vendors: - The actual manufacturer of the CO-H2 Burner (not named in the documents) - Products/Services Requested: - Refurbishment of one CO-H2 Burner (NSN: 4460-01-357-3337) to 'A' condition - Part Number: 4460-01-357-3337 - Quantity: 1 set - Refurbishment must follow SUBMEPP Refurbishment Instruction No. 5320-012-0724 REV F CHG 9 - Technical data and inspection/acceptance services per DD Form 1423 Exhibit 'A' - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Sole source procurement: only the actual manufacturer is eligible due to lack of government-owned technical data - Repair must comply with specific Navy refurbishment and quality standards - Item unique identification, packaging, marking, and hazardous material compliance required - Delivery is FOB destination to Silverdale, WA - Delivery period is 365 days from award, with induction period of one year - Notifications and reporting required within 30 and 60 days after induction period ends

Description

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, (the sole source vendor), under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 for the purpose of awarding this contract. This solicitation is for QTY 1 EA evaluate and repair of NSN: 4Y 4460-01-357-3337 CO-H2 Burner, repair in accordance with sole source vendor drawings and SUBMEPP refurbishment instruction. This is a sole source requirement with RMC 3R. Repair, for the second or subsequent time, directly from the actual manufacturer. The Government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. It has been determined to be uneconomical to buy the data or rights to the data. It is uneconomical to reverse engineer the part. This code is used when the Government did not initially purchase the data and/or rights.
