Description
The Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is soliciting bids to provide welding services to refit Building 20 at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility (MPCF) with new automated valves to heat the MLO Building, which houses around 100-150 minimum incarcerated individuals. The scope includes removal of existing steam pressure-reducing valves and associated piping, installation of new steam PRV station, fabrication and installation of a new steam header, relief piping installation, valve installation with maintenance provisions, piping supports, water heater steam tie-in, steam backfeed re-integration, and testing and commissioning. The contractor must provide all supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary to complete the work in compliance with applicable codes and standards. A site visit is scheduled for August 11, 2026, at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility.
