The City of Farmington, New Mexico, is seeking bids for a large-scale sewer service line mapping and utility locating project. - Government Buyer: - City of Farmington, Central Purchasing Department and Administrative Services/Purchasing - Project Scope: - Locate and map approximately 1,248,000 linear feet of main sanitary sewer and about 16,500 service laterals - Collect GPS data for each sewer tap with at least 6-inch spatial accuracy - Deliver data in Shapefile format compatible with the City's GIS (NAD 1983 StatePlane New Mexico West FIPS 3003) - Place permanent physical markers at each service tap (color-coded Rhino A-Tag or equivalent for hard surfaces; rebar with green caps or equivalent for soft surfaces) - Provide jet-rodding services as needed for line cleaning - Coordinate and provide traffic control for up to 20 days - Mobilization and demobilization of equipment and personnel - On-call emergency repair services with rapid response requirements - Products Requested: - PVC SDR-35, C900, and C905 pipe (various diameters and lengths) - Fire hydrants (various types and sizes) - Gate valves and butterfly valves - Class II base course and polymer cold mix materials - 24-inch smooth interior high density polyethylene pipe - Notable Requirements: - GPS data must meet 6-inch spatial accuracy and be GIS-compatible - Physical markers must be placed at a 90-degree angle to the main line at each tap - Compliance with New Mexico public works registration, wage rates, and licensing - 24/7 emergency repair service with strict response and repair commencement timelines - Liquidated damages of $1,100 per day for late completion - No specific OEMs or vendors are mandated; contractors may select equipment and materials that meet the technical specifications

The City of Farmington, New Mexico is soliciting bids for utility locating and mapping services covering approximately 1,248,000 linear feet of main sanitary sewer and about 16,500 service laterals. The work includes collecting GPS data with at least 6-inch spatial accuracy, delivering data in Shapefile format compatible with the City's GIS system, handling traffic control and permitting, and placing physical markers at service tap locations.
