The City of Reno Public Works Department is seeking bids for the Booth St Siphon Rehabilitation Project, a major sanitary sewer infrastructure upgrade. - Government Buyer: - City of Reno Public Works Department - Project Scope: - Installation of 24-inch gravity sewer mains and 10-inch ductile iron sanitary sewer pipe - Construction of a downstream siphon access vault and a new upstream 72-inch sanitary sewer manhole - Modifications to the existing Booth Street Siphon - Electrical conduit work and site electrical upgrades - Surface restoration including temporary and permanent asphalt patching, grind and overlay, Portland cement concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, and ADA pedestrian ramp - Traffic control, bypass pumping, dewatering, utility protection, and storm water inspection - Products & Services Requested: - SDR-35 PVC pipes (15" and 24"), HDPE pipe (12"), ductile iron pipe (10") - Precast concrete manholes and vaults with interior coatings - Preformed thermoplastic pavement markings, paint striping, and survey monument reconstruction - Arborist services for root mitigation and tree removal - Asbestos pipe removal and disposal - CCTV inspection of sewer lines - Line Item Quantities: - 252 units of 24" SDR-35 PVC pipe, 25 units of 10" ductile iron pipe, 2 Type V manholes, 1 72" manhole, 1 downstream siphon vault, 650 units of PCC sidewalk, 3861 units of grind and overlay, and more - Unique Requirements: - Compliance with prevailing wage and Davis-Bacon wage rates - American Iron and Steel (AIS) and Buy America requirements - Use of apprentices as per Nevada statutes - Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delays - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; materials must meet technical specifications for ductile iron, PVC, HDPE, and precast concrete products - Estimated contract value: $1,600,000 to $1,800,000 - Period of performance: 120 working days

This solicitation is for the Booth St Siphon Rehabilitation project in Reno, Nevada. The work includes installation of 24-inch gravity sewer mains, a downstream siphon access vault on Riverside Drive, modifications to the existing Booth Street Siphon, a new upstream 72-inch sanitary sewer manhole on Idlewild Drive, electrical conduit, bypass pumping, dewatering, utility protection, and all associated appurtenances necessary for a complete and operational sanitary sewer system. Surface restoration includes temporary asphalt patching, grind and overlay, permanent pavement patching, portland cement concrete curb, and sidewalk affected by construction.
