The City of Reno and City of Sparks are seeking bids for major asphalt concrete paving and related improvements at the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility (TMWRF) Pump Station and Headworks. - Government Buyer: - City of Reno Utility Services Department and City of Sparks, Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility - Scope of Work: - Milling, grading, and replacement of existing asphalt pavement sections - Removal and replacement of Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) curbs, gutters (Type 1A and Type 1), post curbs (6" and 8"), reinforced retaining post curbs, sidewalks, flatwork, commercial driveway aprons, and valley gutters - Installation of new longitudinal valley gutter - Pulverization of existing composite roadway and installation of recycled base and bituminous plantmix - Permanent bituminous roadway pavement patching - Removal and replacement of cattle guards, including installation of new precast concrete cattle guards and backfilling voids with structural fill - Protection and adjustment of manhole structures, catch basin structures, and gas/water valve boxes to new finish grade - Landscape restoration and pavement markings (paint and preformed thermoplastic) - Salvage and reinstallation of bollards and removable bollards - Traffic control and storm water protection services - Products/Services Requested (selected quantities): - 354 LF PCC curb & gutter (Type 1A), 933 SF valley gutter, 279 SF PCC sidewalk/flatwork, 269 SF PCC driveway apron, 13,239 SF 4" Type 3 bituminous plantmix, 2 new precast concrete cattle guards, 634 SF permanent pavement patch, 60 LF crosswalk keys, 3 yield triangles, and more - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All materials and equipment must meet City of Reno and City of Sparks standards and specifications - Compliance with Nevada prevailing wage laws and use of apprentices on public works - Bid bond required; liquidated damages of $1,000 per day for delays - Environmental and storm water protection measures required - No specific OEMs or proprietary vendors are named; open to standard construction materials meeting local specifications

Description

The City of Reno is soliciting bids for the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility Asphalt Concrete Paving Pump Station and Headworks Project. The work includes milling, grading, and replacement of existing asphalt pavement sections, replacement of two cattle guards on Clean Water Way, removal and replacement of pavement, curb and gutter, valley gutter, manhole and vault collars, concrete driveways, and other miscellaneous work. The project duration is 45 calendar days, with a mandatory pre-bid meeting scheduled virtually and on-site. Bids are due by August 4, 2026, and must include all labor, tools, machinery, materials, and incidental work.
