The City of Leon Valley Public Works Department is seeking certified and licensed firms to conduct a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection event. - Government Buyer: - City of Leon Valley Public Works Department (Bexar County, Texas) - Scope of Work: - Host a single-day HHW collection event at the Public Works facility - Serve approximately 300-350 participants - Collect a wide range of hazardous materials, including: - Aerosols, alkaline batteries, antifreeze, lead acid batteries, corrosives, fire extinguishers, flammables, fluorescent bulbs, freon, latex paint, lithium batteries, mercury, motor oil, Ni-Cad batteries, oil-based paint, oil filters, oxidizers, poison liquids and solids, propane tanks (small and BBQ), reactives, and various labpacks - Electronics are explicitly excluded from the collection - Requirements: - Contractor must be certified and licensed for hazardous waste collection - Must provide all necessary supplies and equipment - Required to obtain a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) permit prior to the event - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Event is a one-time service, not a recurring contract

The City of Leon Valley is seeking cost estimates from certified and licensed Household Hazardous Waste Collection Firms to host a Household Hazardous Waste event on October 3, 2026. The event will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Public Works Department located at 6429 Evers Rd., Leon Valley, Texas. The event targets 300 to 350 participants and includes collection of various hazardous waste categories such as aerosols, batteries, antifreeze, paint, and more, excluding electronics. The contractor must provide all necessary supplies and equipment and secure the required Texas Commission on Environmental Quality permit prior to the event.
