Iowa State University of Science and Technology is seeking proposals for a towable cellular antenna mast trailer (Cell on Wheels - COW) to provide mobile wireless coverage. - Government Buyer: - Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) - Products/Services Requested: - Towable Cellular Antenna Mast Trailer (COW) - Minimum 70 ft telescoping mast for antenna - Weatherproof, lockable equipment shelter (approx. 13 ft L x 7 ft W x 8 ft H) - Onboard diesel generator (minimum 15 kW) - Dual axle, road-legal trailer (minimum 16,000 lb GVWR) - Payload capacity for up to three radio units (minimum 350 lbs total) - Three sector pipes for mounting radios/antennas - Minimum 50-gallon fuel tank - 200A utility input connector, transfer switch, and distribution panel - Shelter with at least three 19-inch equipment racks (minimum 30 rack units per rack, at least one rack installed) - HVAC (minimum 20,000 BTU), lighting, outlets, and environmental alarms - Mast rated for 50 mph wind un-guyed, 80 mph with guy-wire kit - Galvanized or corrosion-protected deck - Complete guy-wire kit included - Services: - Delivery to ISU campus - Operator training (factory or on-site) - Documentation and warranty (minimum 2 years for new, 1 year for refurbished) - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Open to both new and refurbished units (refurbished must be fully inspected and operational) - Compliance with federal grant terms and specific insurance requirements for on-campus work - No specific OEMs required; any compliant equipment may be proposed - Estimated budget is $50,000 for the unit

Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors to provide a towable cellular antenna mast trailer (Cell on Wheels - COW). The trailer must include a shelter and a diesel generator capable of hosting Radio Access Network radios, antennas, and supporting infrastructure for temporary wireless coverage in remote regions.
