Alamance County is soliciting proposals for an exclusive franchise for the collection and delivery services of household garbage and certain recyclable materials within the unincorporated boundaries of Alamance County. The service includes weekly residential collection of household garbage and biweekly collection of target recyclables, along with delivery of containers, public education materials, and a calendar to customers. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 PM on August 31, 2026, to the County Purchasing Office. The County encourages participation by Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
