The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking a statewide contractor for electronic smoke and fire detection alarm system services at correctional facilities. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) - Division of Administrative Services, Office of Business Services, Contracts Management Branch, Master Contracts Unit - OEMs and Vendors: - FCI - Fire-Lite - Gamewell - Honeywell - Notifier - Edwards - Siemens - Products/Services Requested: - Preventative maintenance and safety inspections (semi-annual/annual) - Repair services (normal and emergency hours) for multiple OEM systems - Replacement of fire alarm panels/components, including software updates and programming - Testing, calibration, and certification of fire alarm and integrated security systems - Fire alarm system design and State Fire Marshal approval - Parts replacement, rental equipment, and miscellaneous expenses at over 35 correctional facilities - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must be authorized by OEMs (manufacturer’s authorization letter required for certain brands) - Compliance with NFPA standards, prevailing wage, and State Fire Marshal regulations - Small business, disadvantaged business, and disabled veteran business participation goals - Mandatory walk-throughs at some locations - All labor, materials, tools, and transportation included - Emergency response within four hours when required

Description

This solicitation is for a Master Agreement to provide Electronic Smoke and Fire Detection Alarm System Maintenance, Inspection, Repair, Testing, Calibration, and Certification Services. The services include repair and/or replacement of fire alarms with integrated security and/or other component systems for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) locations statewide. Bidders are not required to bid on all locations. The solicitation includes mandatory walk-through participation at some locations. The contract covers all labor, supplies, materials, personnel, equipment, tools, transportation, and other expenses necessary to perform the services.
