Description

The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is seeking qualified Service Providers to determine resource-specific reference levels and reference quantities for the energy and operating reserve markets. The contract involves supporting public and private discussions, reviewing materials from market participants, and recommending appropriate reference levels within the Market Power Mitigation framework. The IESO will select one Service Provider in each of eight categories including Thermal Generation, Hydroelectric Generation, Solar Generation, Wind Generation, Nuclear Generation, Energy Storage, Dispatchable Load, and Intertie Trading. Proponents may submit proposals for any combination of these categories, with the highest-ranked selected as Preferred Proponent for each category.
