Description

This project involves the renovation and reconfiguration of the lower level of the Moon Library to enhance accessibility, functionality, and the overall student experience. The scope includes complete renovation of existing toilet rooms to meet current accessibility standards and improve fixtures, finishes, and layout efficiency. A new dedicated student space will be created to support individual and collaborative study, with flexible furnishings, improved lighting, and updated technology infrastructure. The project also includes a new fully accessible entrance on the north side with a vestibule for weather protection and universal access, and a new vestibule at the existing south entrance to enhance thermal performance and provide a welcoming entry sequence. Overall, the improvements aim to modernize the facility, increase accessibility and code compliance, and create a more comfortable, inclusive, and functional environment for users.
