Description

The City of Norfolk Department of Transportation is seeking proposals from qualified professional firms to provide Construction Administration and Inspection Services on an as-required basis. Services include project management, construction administration, management, inspection, documentation review, quality control and assurance, material sampling, testing and certifications, surveying, utility designation and location, constructability reviews, value engineering, construction schedule and CPM reviews, delay claims analysis, cost estimating, and payment review and processing. The contract is an indefinite quantity contract with a term of three years, renewable annually, and work will be performed in accordance with the Virginia Department of Transportation's Locally Administered Projects Manual. The successful firm must demonstrate expertise in construction engineering management and inspections for various types of projects including site improvements, drainage, highway and roadway construction, intersection improvements, safety improvements, bridge construction, and utility improvements.
