This funding opportunity aims to establish four Pediatric Disaster Care Centers of Excellence (PEDs COEs) to enhance pediatric disaster preparedness and response capabilities. The centers will develop coordinated pediatric disaster care capabilities, strengthen preparedness plans, enhance medical surge capacity, and provide standardized training for healthcare professionals. The program focuses on managing pediatric care related to trauma, infectious diseases including pandemic influenza and other emerging infectious diseases, burn injuries, and chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) incidents.
