The City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department is seeking bids for the renovation of Field 5 at Buffaloe Road Athletic Park. - Government Buyer: - City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department - Parks Maintenance Office - Project Scope: - Renovation of the skinned infield area - Conversion of sideline warning tracks to natural turf to improve drainage and playability - Includes excavation, grading, soil and sod installation, irrigation modifications, and field layout - Products and Materials Requested: - Infield Mix (70-30 sand/clay blend, 225 tons; Golf Agronomics, Divots, or equivalent) - Infield Soil Conditioner (Turface MVP Beige calcined clay, 3 tons, or equivalent) - Batters Box Clay Bricks/Mound Clay (Turface or equivalent, 310 bricks) - Sod (Tifway 419 or Tiftuf Bermuda, 5,000 sq ft, super rolls) - Sod Base Soil Blend (70/20/10 blend of C33 sand, screened topsoil, Pro Base soil conditioner, 140 tons) - Irrigation Heads Relocation (8 Hunter I-25 heads and nozzles) - Services Requested: - Field renovation services as per detailed scope of work - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractors must have a current Certified Field Builder certification from the American Sports Builders Association - Must provide references for similar projects completed in the last five years - Soil analysis certifications required for infield mix - Specific product brands listed as acceptable or equivalent (Golf Agronomics, Divots, Turface, Hunter) - No electronic bids accepted; submissions must be mailed or hand-delivered
