Sedgwick County, in partnership with the City of Wichita, is seeking proposals for evidence-based services to address opioid use disorder (OUD) and related stigma in the community. - Government Buyer: - Sedgwick County (Purchasing Department), in coordination with the City of Wichita - Scope of Services: - Evidence-based or evidence-informed stigma reduction, community outreach, and education services focused on OUD and co-occurring substance use disorders - Initiatives may include: - Community-wide stigma reduction campaigns - Targeted outreach and education for key groups (educators, healthcare providers, law enforcement, etc.) - Public awareness campaigns, professional training, community events, and education on Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) - Programs to raise awareness about substance misuse risks and available prevention, treatment, and recovery resources - Funding and Awards: - Total available funding: $250,000 - Anticipated up to five awards, each up to $50,000 - Unique Requirements: - Projects must be evidence-based or evidence-informed and culturally sensitive - Quarterly performance reporting required - Compliance with payer-of-last-resort requirements (other insurance sources must be billed first) - Funds cannot be used for construction or to supplant existing funding - Eligible Applicants: - Open to nonprofits, government agencies, healthcare providers, and other qualified organizations - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named; opportunity is open to a range of service providers

Sedgwick County and the City of Wichita are seeking proposals for evidence-based opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment, recovery, prevention, and education services focused on stigma reduction, community outreach, and education. The project aims to provide community stigma reduction campaigns, high-impact stigma reduction initiatives targeting influential groups, and community outreach programs to raise awareness about substance misuse risks and available resources. The contract period extends through December 31, 2027, with a one-year renewal option. A pre-bid webinar is scheduled for August 3, 2026, and proposals are due by September 15, 2026.
