Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has completed an inventory of human remains in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory determined a cultural affiliation between the human remains and several Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice details the origin, cultural affiliation, and repatriation process for the remains. Repatriation may occur on or after August 31, 2026, and requests must be sent to the authorized representative at UAB.
