Description

The Louisiana Division of Archaeology has completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA). The inventory identifies cultural affiliation between the remains and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice includes details about the human remains and associated funerary objects from specific archaeological sites in Louisiana. Repatriation of these remains and objects may occur on or after August 31, 2026.
